Tyler Kolek is one of the top point guards in the nation.

The Golden Eagles star was a deadly 3-point shooter last season, hitting 3s at a 40% clip. He averaged 13 points, 7.5 assists and 4 rebounds per game last season.

Kolek had to be assisted to the locker room during the 2nd half of Friday’s win over Rider. He’d been listed as day-to-day following the win. On Tuesday, Jeff Goodman reported that he is a game-time decision for tonight’s game against Illinois.

Illinois’ first test of the season is going to be a fun one, with or without Kolek. The Illini are 2-0 on the season but face a stiff step-up in competition against the Eagles.

Terrence Shannon will need to have a big game for the Illini at the State Farm Center, especially so if Kolek is able to go. The game is set to tip off at 8 p.m. ET on FS1.
