Vegas computer predicts disastrous result for Illinois’ showdown with Eastern Michigan

Illinois is looking to get to 3-0 for the season just one year removed from a four-win campaign in 2018.
Last year, the Illini started 2-0 before a loss in Week 3 began a downward spiral. Illinois went 2-8 the rest of the way, finishing the season in embarrassing fashion.
In order to get a third win on the season, Illinois will have to take down Eastern Michigan. And while Lovie Smith and the Illini will enter the game as -7 favorites, at least one projection system has Illinois falling flat in the contest.
According to the computer prediction put out by Odds Shark, Eastern Michigan is expected to win by a final score of 33.3-22.3:
One key for Illinois is the status of running back Reggie Corbin. The Illini would love to have him back, but Smith officially labeled him as questionable on Monday. Even without Corbin, a loss to Eastern Michigan would be brutal and would put a huge damper on the Illini’s hopes to earn a bowl bid this season.
