Illinois receiver Mike Dudek has become one of the most beloved players to wear the orange and blue.

It’s not just because Dudek has proven to be one of the top receivers in the B1G (when healthy), but because of fighting back from multiple injuries, trying to find a way back on the field.

Fans are really going to love what the receiver did in fall camp.

Dudek, who missed the entire 2015 and 2016 seasons with an injury and five games of the 2017 season with an injury, laid out for a pass during a scrimmage. Knowing his history, it does make you slightly cringe, but it’s an extremely positive sign knowing Dudek can still make plays.

Dudek had a big season in his freshman campaign, hauling in 76 receptions for 1,038 yards and six touchdowns. After missing the 2015 and 2016 seasons,  he bounced back with 24 catches for 262 yards and a touchdown in seven games last fall.

Illinois still has a playmaker at receiver, as long as Dudek can stay healthy.
