Illinois had a close call Week 1 against Kent State and didn’t have many issues Week 2 against Western Illinois.

As of now, the Fighting Illini are perfect in 2018 at 2-0. In Week 3, however, the team is playing USF, which brings a different kind of challenge. According to, Illinois is an 11-point underdog on Saturday.

The game is an intriguing one — outside of the fact that it’s the first contest where the Fighting Illini isn’t a favorite — because it is being played at Soldier Field. Soldier Field is typically where the Chicago Bears play its home games.
