Illinois is quite literally off and running in Saturday’s game with Minnesota.
At this point, running back Reggie Corbin is making a habit of ripping off long touchdown runs. He is no stranger to the big play, and he put Illinois on the board early in the first quarter.
He cut through a hole in the right side of the line and broke a tackle around midfield. From there, he outran the rest of the defense to the end zone.
Illinois on BTN shared the video of the first big run for the Illini:

The team was not done with the big gainers. On the very next drive, Dre Brown decided to get in on the action. He also went off the right side of the line, essentially untouched, for a second, 70+ yard score in the first quarter of action.
The BTN shared the video of Brown’s electric run:
The “70+ yard rushing TD” play seems to be working out well for @IlliniFootball today.
