What Illinois coach Lovie Smith said at his Monday press conference
2020 has not been kind to many people, including Illinois coach Lovie Smith.
After some solid recruiting, Smith and his team had heightened expectations coming into this season. So far, the Illini are not even close to that as they’ve gone 0-2 and not impressed many in either game.
Next up, Illinois faces a Minnesota squad also missing expectations badly. One of these teams will leave this game with a win.
Here’s what Smith had to say Monday at his regularly scheduled press conference ahead of Saturday’s game.
