Wyoming’s Craig Bohl has not named a starting quarterback for his season opener against Illinois, much like Bret Bielema. Both coaches are keeping a tight lock on their QBs.

Bohl is no stranger to the B1G, 1st starting off as a Nebraska graduate assistant (1981-1983). After several other assistant roles, he returned to Lincoln as an LB coach (1995-1999) and then took on the DB coaching duties as well (2000-2002).

The Wyoming HC is sticking to his guns, according to Cody Tucker of 7220sports.com:

“I don’t know what Bret Has said, but we will name a starter to be announced,” Bohl said.

Andrew Peasly, Wyoming’s most experienced quarterback, did not comment on the battle.

It’ll be anyone’s guess as to who will starting at QB for either Wyoming or Illinois on Aug. 27. Fans of both teams will have to wait until 4 p.m. ET on Saturday to find out.
