After another big-time win, Indiana gets major props from Kirk Herbstreit
Indiana coach Tom Allen has a lot of fans right now.
With his team off to an impressive 3-0 start, Allen is hearing praise from nearly all angles. That includes ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit.
Following the Hoosiers’ win against Michigan in Week 3, Herbstreit took to Twitter to give praise to the upstart Indiana program.
Tom Allen and @IndianaFootball have been close in the past..this year they’re finishing games out.
3-0 for 1st time since Anthony Thompson was carrying the ball in 1988.
Fun to watch a team start to BELIEVE. Tom Allen has done an amazing job in Bloomington.— Kirk Herbstreit (@KirkHerbstreit) November 8, 2020
Herbstreit also gave Allen and the Hoosiers major props two weeks ago, after IU defeated No. 8 Penn State. Clearly, Allen is on Herbie’s radar as one of the most underrated coaches in college football.
There are certainly plenty of fun stories happening across the Big Ten in 2020. But it’s hard to choose any story that’s better than Indiana. This is a program that has hardly ever had success and has just one Rose Bowl appearance in its history. That could all change in 2020 with the Hoosiers’ success.
