Indiana kicks off the 2021 season with a B1G road matchup at Iowa. Big Ten Network analyst Joshua Perry named linebacker Micah McFadden as the x-factor for Indiana to pull off the victory.

McFadden amassed 44 solo tackles, six sacks, and an interception last season. McFadden’s finished with 41 solo tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two interceptions in 2019.

After 11 consecutive losing seasons, Indiana experienced a revival with an 8-5 record in 2019 and a 6-2 record in 2020. If Indiana posts a winning record in 2021, it would make program history. Indiana has never had three consecutive winning seasons since joining the B1G in 1953.

Iowa is coming off a 6-2 record last season and is on a six-game winning streak. Iowa leads the all-time series 45-28-4 vs. Indiana and is on a three-game winning streak in the matchup.
