Indiana picked up a massive commitment for its 2023 class on Tuesday afternoon.

4-star defensive back Daeh McCullough announced his pledge to the Hoosiers.

McCullough attends Bloomington South High School. He is the son of IU running backs coach Deland McCullough.

Here’s his father’s message after the commitment:

According to 247Sports, McCullough is the No. 78 overall player and the No. 6 safety in the country for the class of 2023. He’s also ranked as the No. 2 player in the state of Indiana.

McCullough is Indiana’s second commitment for the class of 2023. The other is 3-star defensive end Denzel Moore.

Indiana was in need of positive momentum on the recruiting trail. The Hoosiers have just one commitment for the class of 2022, and their class is currently ranked last in the Big Ten per 247Sports Composite rankings.

According to 247Sports, McCullough also has offers from Florida, Arkansas, Michigan, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Penn State and numerous other top programs.
