Michael Penix Jr. is still drawing huge praise for his incredible work in the near comeback win over Ohio State last weekend.

After following behind by a big deficit twice in the game, Penix rallied the Hoosier offense each time and battled back. Though Penix did have a costly pick-six in the second half, it was his arm that nearly won the game.

In the end, Penix outplayed Ohio State’s Justin Fields as Penix threw for nearly 500 yards (491) and five touchdowns. It was that body of work that earned Penix recognition from Charles Woodson for “Club Heisman.”

“I’m bringing in Michael Penix Jr. out of Indiana,” explained Howard during the segment for FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff. “This guy is a stud. For me, he’s a finisher. When you look at the game against Penn State, with the outstretched hand, put the ball on the pylon. And when you talk about Ohio State, he just flat went off. Down 21 points at half, he got the team within 7 points. 491 yards and 5 touchdowns. This dude is putting it together.”
