D’Angelo Ponds is putting on a show Saturday in the national spotlight.

Early in the 2nd quarter, Ponds snagged his second interception of the game. While this one did not go for a pick-6 like his first INT, this one made for a highlight just as impressive, making a catch on a tipped ball.

Ponds did not return his second pick for the score, but he helped set up a touchdown, Indiana’s first offensive TD of the game. On the second play of IU’s possession that followed the pick, Tayven Jackson found for a 42-yard catch and run to extend the lead.

Indiana went up 14-0 with the score, but the Huskies weren’t going to roll over in Bloomington. Washington answered Indiana’s TD with a touchdown drive of its own, going 75 yards on 6 plays to cut it to 14-7.

After an Indiana punt, Washington got the ball back with the chance to tie it up. The Hoosier defense came through and stopped a 5-play, 31-yard drive via turnover on downs.

Indiana is on top 14-7 in the 2nd quarter. The game is airing on the Big Ten Network.
