Deland McCullough's sons have encouraging message for Indiana after father's reported departure to Notre Dame
Indiana running backs coach Deland McCullough might be on the move but it sounds like his sons, Deland McCullough II and Dasan McCullough, are happy in Bloomington.
Monday, it was reported that Deland McCullough was expected to join Marcus Freeman’s staff at Notre Dame. After a one-year stop as Indiana’s running backs coach, he is reportedly heading to South Bend to take on the same role.
On Tuesday, Deland McCullough II tweeted out a message that should be reassuring to Indiana fans. It doesn’t sound like he has any intention of heading to Notre Dame, or any other school.
All love for my dad! It’s still #LEO !

“All love for my dad!” the younger McCullough tweeted. “It’s still LEO!”
Not long after that, 2022 4-star prospect and IU commit Dasan McCullough announced his intention to continue to stay committed to the Hoosiers.

Deland McCullough II will be entering his second season with the Hoosiers in 2022 after transferring in from Miami (OH). He appeared in 1o games per his player profile in 2021, primarily on special teams. Dasan McCullough is expected to compete immediately for playing time with the Hoosiers.
While losing Deland McCullough is a significant blow, there is still some good news for the Hoosiers.
