The flip had been speculated due to McCullough’s ties at Indiana. His father, Deland McCullough, was hired as the RBs Coach and Associate Head Coach in February to replace Mike Hart who left for Michigan. Since that time, Dasan’s older brother – Deland McCullough II – announced he was transferring to Indiana from Miami (OH).

The move is a big boost for Indiana’s 2022 recruiting class. Dasan is a four-star prospect out of Bloomington and is rated the No. 50 overall prospect and top player from the state of Indiana by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He is rated as an athlete for the class but is projected as a linebacker at the next level.
Dasan’s decision sets up quite the future for the McCullough family at IU. Daeh McCullough, the younger brother of Dasan and Deland II, is already committed to the Hoosiers for their 2023 recruiting class. Daeh is rated the No. 2 player out of Indiana by 247 Sports for that cycle.
