Former Indiana basketball star Justin Smith has found his next home.

On Monday, Smith announced that he will finish his college basketball career at Arkansas. He will be a graduate transfer and immediately eligible for the Razorbacks. He spent three seasons with the Hoosiers.

Smith initially entered his name in the NBA Draft but opted to withdraw from consideration. After that decision, he opted to hit the transfer portal.

Smith started all 32 games for the Hoosiers this past season, averaging 10.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game, all career highs. He scored a season-high 24 points in the season opener against Western Illinois and recorded his lone double-double of the year against Nebraska, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

“Justin Smith and I had a conversation recently where we discussed his future, the feedback from the NBA and he has made the decision to graduate and transfer for his final season of eligibility,” IU head coach Archie Miller said in the statement. “I support his decision and wish Justin and his family all the best in this next chapter.”

In his three seasons at IU, Smith posted a career average of 8.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists per contest. He has appeared in 98 games and made 73 starts.
