Ex-Indiana RB joins USFL team
Former Indiana football player Stevie Scott III was taken by the Michigan Panthers in the 26th round of the 2022 USFL Draft on Wednesday. Scott played for the Hoosiers from 2018 to 2020.
Scott started off his career with Indiana by rushing for 1,000 yards as freshman. He would go on to have 2,543 yards rushing and 30 touchdowns on the ground throughout his time in Bloomington.
Scott went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, but was picked up by the New Orleans Saints shortly after. He didn’t make the roster, and was one of the last players to be cut by the team. He also spent time with the Denver Broncos in 2021 as well.
Shortly after he was drafted, the ‘Indiana On BTN’ account from Twitter posted a highlight from his college days.
Here’s the clip of him from the 2018 Virginia game where Scott ran for 204 yards rushing along with the 1st touchdown of his college career:
Why are we sharing @Steviescott8_‘s first TD?
Because the former @IndianaFootball RB was selected by the @USFLPanthers in the @USFL draft. #LetsHunt x @CFBONFOX pic.twitter.com/AmcvBSn6J2
