An Indiana native is returning to his home state after spending the last four years at Stanford.

On Thursday, Indiana received a commitment from defensive lineman Jovan Swann, who was previously with the Cardinal. He will be a graduate transfer and will be immediately eligible for the Hoosiers for the 2020 season. He will have one year of college eligibility remaining.

Swann made his announcement with a message on Twitter.

Over the last three seasons, Swann appeared in 39 games at Stanford, making 19 starts. He totaled 18.5 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks and forced two fumbles to go along with 85 career stops.

Swann joins an Indiana team that is coming off one of its best seasons in program history, finishing with an 8-5 record and a berth in the Gator Bowl. The defensive lineman should be able to come in an make an instant impact with the Hoosiers.
