Former Indiana defensive tackle Jeramy Passmore is transferring to Florida International.

He announced that news on Tuesday afternoon:

Passmore was a member of Indiana’s 2019 recruiting class. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he was a 3-star recruit and the No. 63 strong side defensive end in that class.

He’s originally from Miami, Fla., so this transfer to move back closer to home makes sense.

Passmore redshirted in 2019 and played in three games during Indiana’s 2020 campaign. However, he didn’t record any statistics.

Passmore had numerous offers coming out of high school. According to 247Sports, he chose the Hoosiers over programs like Iowa, Maryland, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Wake Forest and several other FBS offers.

Indiana has been active in the transfer portal this offseason. Tom Allen’s squad has signed six players out of the portal so far, including defensive tackle Weston Kramer from Northern Illinois. The Hoosiers have also taken in players from Miami (Ohio), Ole Miss, Michigan and Florida State.
