A former Indiana guard and administrator Chris Reynolds will be the chair of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee, the organization announced on Friday. He will take over for the 2022-23 season.

Reynolds is currently the athletics director at Bradley University. He will be the vice chair of the committee for the upcoming 2021-22 season, per a release from the NCAA.

Reynolds has been in his position at Bradley since 2015 and was named to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee in 2018. Prior to taking over at Bradley, he worked at Northwestern, Indiana, Notre Dame, Michigan State and Western Michigan.

“Serving as a member of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee over the past three years has been an honor and to be selected by my peers to serve as chair of the committee for the 2022-23 academic year is humbling,” Reynolds said. “I look forward to supporting Tom Burnett, our chair for this upcoming year, in the role of vice chair and continuing to work with our committee colleagues, Dan Gavitt and the NCAA staff.”

Reynolds played basketball at Indiana under head coach Bob Knight in the early 1990s. He was a member of a Hoosiers program that won two B1G regular season titles and played its way to a Final Four in 1992. Reynolds was also a team captain.
