Former Indiana RB Tevin Coleman will suit up for the San Francisco 49ers in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

The 49ers announced Saturday that they are elevating Coleman to the active roster for the game.

Coleman, who has been in the NFL since 2015, could potentially be San Francisco’s No. 2 running back in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles, with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. Elijah Mitchell, the 49ers’ No. 2 running back behind Christian McCaffrey, has been dealing with a groin injury.

In regular-season play, Coleman made 5 appearances for the 49ers. He recorded carries in just 2 games, rushing 12 times for 26 yards and a touchdown.

The NFC Championship Game is set for 3 p.m. ET. We’ll see if Coleman contributes for the 49ers.
