Indiana has received its first commitment of the 2021 recruiting class, and it comes from an in-state talent.

On Tuesday, 6-foot-5, 223-pound defensive end Rodney McGraw of Elkhart, Indiana announced his commitment to the Hoosiers. He made his decision with a post on Twitter. He’s the first player in the 2021 class to commit to IU.

“Thank you to everyone who gave me an opportunity,” McGraw wrote in a Twitter post. “I’m staying home!”

McGraw is listed as the No. 341 overall prospect in the 2021 class, according to 247Sports. He’s also the No. 6 player from the state of Indiana and the No. 20 weak-side defensive end, as well.

Over a dozen offers poured in for McGraw, several from B1G programs. Along with Indiana, McGraw received interest from Michigan, Penn State, Purdue and Michigan State, among others.

This is a huge addition for the Hoosiers, and a great starting point for the 2021 recruiting class for Tom Allen and the Hoosiers.
