Here's what Tom Allen said ahead of showdown with Maryland
At one point, Indiana tied things up against Ohio State on Saturday.
It didn’t go well after that.
The Buckeyes blew out the Hoosiers 54-7 in Week 8, keeping Indiana winless in B1G play. Indiana had quite a day at quarterback, with three different QBs seeing the field. Jack Tuttle was the starter, but he went down with an injury on IU’s lone touchdown pass of the game. Donaven McCulley and Grant Gremel both came in to take some snaps afterward.
Now, Indiana is getting ready to take on a Maryland team that has come back down to earth after a 4-0 start. The Terps are 4-3 overall, but 1-3 in B1G play, and coming off a 34-16 loss to Minnesota.
Indiana coach Tom Allen met the media Monday morning for his weekly press conference to talk about the upcoming matchup and who’ll start at quarterback if Tuttle is still injured. Remember: They’re already without Michael Penix Jr.
Here’s what he had to say:
"A lack of consistency there, we'll look at it again, maybe some personnel changes. ..The communication hasn't been what it needs to be at times." Tom Allen on why the veteran O-line has failed to live up the expectations. #iufb

Allen asked about quarterback injuries over the last few years and whether his team is just snakebit or if he sees something else. Basically says it doesn't seem that the specific injuries are a volume issue. Really more of a one-hit situation.
