Indiana has added one of the top offensive line prospects from its home state to the 2021 recruiting class.

On Saturday, the Hoosiers received the verbal commitment of 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive tackle Joshua Sales, a native of Brownsburg, Indiana. Sales’ pledge gave IU 12 hard commits in the 2021 recruiting class.

Sales made his announcement with a video on Twitter.

Sales is listed as the No. 9 player from the state of Indiana and is the No. 44 offensive tackle of his class. Overall, 247Sports has Sales ranked just outside the top 500 talents of the cycle, coming in at No. 517 nationally.

Eighteen programs showed interest in Sales during the recruiting cycle. In addition to Indiana, Sales received Power Five offers from Arizona State, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Purdue, Rutgers and West Virginia.

Indiana’s 2021 recruiting class ranks 61st nationally and 12th in the B1G. Sales becomes the fifth player from the state to commit to the Hoosiers.
