Indiana has added a road game to its 2026 schedule.
On Tuesday, the official Twitter account of Indiana football announced that it has schedule a road trip to UConn for the 2026 season. The game is scheduled to be played on Sept. 26.
The road trip for the Hoosiers is a rescheduled game from the 2020 season. IU was supposed to make the trip to UConn last season, but the contest was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The B1G played a conference-only schedule last year and UConn opted out of the season.
Indiana and UConn have played three times in the past and the Huskies own a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series. The Hoosiers won the 2019 bout in Bloomington convincingly, posting a 38-3 victory.
UConn won matchups in 2003 (34-10) and 2006 (14-7).
Tuesday’s announcement comes a day after Indiana announced a home-and-home series against Notre Dame. The Hoosiers will play the Fighting Irish for the first time since 1991. Those games are set for the 2030 and 2031 seasons.
