As the college bowl season arrives, so does transfer season. Indiana gets a commitment from an experienced and talented running back from the SEC.

After visiting Indiana, former Auburn running back Shaun Shivers has committed to Indiana and will be becoming in as a grad transfer.

Shivers came to Auburn as a 4-star recruit, according to 247Sports Composite, in the recruiting class of 2018. In the four years at Auburn, Shivers has rushed for 1,020 yards and eight touchdowns on 201 carries. He was also an efficient dynamic receiving option at Auburn by catching 38 receptions for 211 yards and a touchdown.

After a great 6-2 season in 2020, Indiana accounted for a disappointing 2021 season by finishing 2-10 overall. Indiana ranked 123rd in the nation in points per game (17.2) and 114th in rushing yards per game (115.3). The offensive line for Indiana gave up 78 tackles for loss this season.

Shivers looks to provide immediate impact for Indiana’s offense as a starter or consistent contributor.
