Indiana basketball target Jalen Hood-Schifino has set a commitment date.

According to On3’s Joseph Tipton, he’s set to announce his decision between the Hoosiers and Tennessee on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.

Hood-Schifino is one of the best high school basketball prospects in the country. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he’s the No. 23 overall player and the No. 3 combo guard in the class of 2022.

He attends Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, which has produced multiple lottery picks in recent years. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Cade Cunningham, is amongst the biggest names to play there.

New Indiana coach Mike Woodson has had success on the recruiting trail so far. In addition to landing 4-star Tamar Bates in the class of 2021, he’s already earned commitments from two prospects in the class of 2022.

Hood-Schifino also has offers from programs like Texas, Memphis, UConn and Florida State. He was originally committed to Pitt but backed off that verbal in July of 2020.
