The Hoosiers basketball program just secured a major commitment for their 2022 recruiting class.

Jalen Hood-Schifino has committed to Indiana over Tennesee, which will give their class even more of a boost.

Per his 247Sports composite ranking, Hood-Schifino is considered the 6th best player in Florida and the 3rd best combo guard in the country. He’s also ranked as the 23rd best player nationally.

He spoke to Joe Tipton on why he chose the Hoosiers and it seemed to come down to him just knowing this was the best fit.

“I chose Indiana because when you know, you know,” Hood-Schifino told On3. “Coach Mike Woodson was successful at the NBA level and I think it’ll translate to the collegiate level. He recruited me as a point guard and wants me to run his team.”

Hood-Schifino is currently the highest-rated recruit in Indiana’s 2022 class and the only 4-star in that class as well.
