Indiana coach Tom Allen accidentally body slams player in Michigan celebration
Indiana coach Tom Allen was a little too eager to celebrate the Hoosiers’ win over Michigan.
After the game-sealing interception by Devon Matthews, Allen rewarded him with a form tackle:
Forgive @CoachAllenIU for being a bit over-eager. 😂
Can confirm no Targeting was called: pic.twitter.com/H7VbGGaAS9

That’s an awesome moment for Allen, who has the Hoosiers 3-0 on the season and in a tie for first place in the Big Ten East.
However, it looks like Allen took the brunt of that hit.
That tackle Tom Allen had on Devon Matthews… got a helmet to the cheekbone. Doesn’t think it’s broken. Says it hurts, but doesn’t matter. #iufb pic.twitter.com/roQPVBLmZq

This was Indiana’s first win over Michigan since 1987. The Wolverines had previously won 24 straight games in this series.
Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was excellent, completing 30-of-50 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns.
Indiana also has wins over Penn State and Illinois this season. The Hoosiers will try to move to 4-0 next week against Michigan State.
