Indiana is looking for a bounce-back season and an improved performance in the 2024 recruiting class under head coach Tom Allen. On Saturday, the Hoosiers landed another piece away from ACC competition.

The player is Kameron Courtney, an athlete out of Freedom High School in Woodbridge, Virginia. His group of finalists included North Carolina, Pitt, Virginia and Virginia Tech before eventually pledging to Allen’s program.

Courtney’s listed at 6-feet and 190 pounds as a two-way player throughout his high school career. Offensively, he had over 800 yards receiving while adding 5 interceptions and 3 fumble recoveries with 61 tackles defensively.

Courtney has gone unrated by the composite system but is rated as a 3-star recruit by 247 Sports. He’s also rated as the 99th ATH in the country and the No. 22 player out of Virginia for the 2024 recruiting class.

Impact for Indiana’s 2024 recruiting class

Kourtney joins a 2024 recruiting class for Indiana that is up to 17 commitments. That group is currently ranked 55th in the country per the 247 Sports Team Composite. After finishing at 69th overall for the class of 2023, the Hoosiers would like to improve on that mark before reaching the Early Signing Period.
