Indiana is getting a big-time boost to its offensive line depth in 2025, with Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reporting on Friday night that former Ohio State tackle Zen Michalski is heading to Bloomington.

Michalski was a starter for the Buckeyes earlier this season but then suffered an injury, which derailed his 2024 campaign. All of that has apparently turned into a huge gain for Indiana next fall, from a hated Big Ten rival no less.

Michalski is still with the Ohio State team as the Buckeyes prepare to face Texas in the College Football Playoff semifinals next Friday night. The 6-foot-6, 319-pound senior will be returning to his home state to finish off his collegiate career, as he was born in Floyds Knobs.

A backup for most of his 4 seasons with the Buckeyes, Michalski started for the first time against Nebraska on Oct. 26. An injury in that game put him on the shelf for the rest of the regular season. He was projected to be a backup once again in 2025.

Indiana was high on Michalski’s radar of places to transfer to in 2025, with the Hoosiers battling with Kansas State, according to The Daily Hoosier.

Michalski would fill a massive void at right tackle on Indiana’s offensive line in 2025. He has appeared in 19 games for the Buckeyes and will have 1 year of eligibility remaining in what would be his redshirt senior season.
