In Week 1, Indiana defeated Ball State 34-24.
The game didn’t go completely the Hoosiers’ way, but, a win is a win. One thing that has gone Indiana’s way the last 19 games is the fact that the defense has been opportunistic.
In fact, Indiana has forced a turnover in 19 straight games thanks to forcing a Ball State turnover — which marks the longest streak in the country:

This streak is pretty impressive. It’s one thing to get blown out in a game. Realistically, every team loses.
And Indiana hasn’t gone 19-0 in its last 19 games. But, one thing is for sure. Indiana’s defense has a nose for the football. Every program in the country wishes it could consistently force turnovers like this — even Alabama and Clemson.
