Indiana and Florida International have agreed to cancel this Saturday’s game following the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Indiana University made the announcement late Monday night.
According to a statement from IU, both parties had multiple discussions about the situation but decided that cancelling the game was in the best interest. Hurricane Irma devastated South Florida this past weekend.

Hoosiers’ athletic director Fred Glass is attempting to find an opponent for Oct. 7, which was originally scheduled to be the team’s bye week.
The game was scheduled for this upcoming Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Indiana and Florida International are also hoping to schedule another head-to-head game at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington sometime in the near future.
