Another spring is in the books for Tom Allen and the Hoosiers!

Coming out of 2020, Indiana is looking to maintain and build on the success of the past two seasons. Putting together a brilliant shortened season without a spring session last year was a great sign, and expectations will be even higher entering 2021.

On Saturday, Indiana officially wrapped up the spring period with the 15th and final practice for the Hoosiers.

To go along with the end of spring practices, Indiana released a list of award winners to wrap up the session. Among the most improved recipients was freshman tight end A.J. Barner.

Barner joined Indiana as a three-star recruit and the No. 51 TE nationally for 2020. Listed at 6-foot-6, Barner will try and develop into a weapon to go alongside junior Peyton Hendershot.

Another name to watch heading into the summer is sophomore running back Davion Ervin-Poindexter. He was awarded one of the Most Outstanding awards for the offense.

Ervin-Poindexter did not register a carry during 2020, but the door is open for anyone to take the main running back role heading into the fall. Stevie Scott, Indiana’s leading rusher three years running, is off to the NFL, opening a hole for Ervin-Poindexter or others to make their mark.
