Indiana to honor 1968 Rose Bowl team in home finale vs. Rutgers
Fifty years have passed since Indiana last claimed a B1G title and made the trip to Pasadena to play in a Rose Bowl game. The Hoosiers will honor that team during the home finale against Rutgers.
The 1967 team was the last Indiana squad to claim a conference championship and make a trip to the Rose Bowl for the Jan. 1 bout against USC. In addition to honoring the team during the game, the Hoosiers will sport a “Block I” helmet stick and will also sport a helmet decal honoring the B1G champions.
Indiana released a preview of its uniform combination dedicated to honoring that team against Rutgers.

Indiana finished the 1967 season with a 9-2 record and went 6-1 in the B1G and played in the 1968 Rose Bowl game on Jan. 1 against USC. The Hoosiers were defeated 14-3 by the Trojans, accounting for just the team’s second loss of the season.
Saturday’s game against Rutgers will also be Senior Day at Memorial Stadium.
The Hoosiers and Scarlet Knights are scheduled for a noon ET kickoff time. Both teams are still fighting for bowl eligibility.
