Indiana lands commitment from WR out of SEC country with offers from Alabama, Tennessee
Indiana’s recruiting class has received a new pledge.
Friday, the Hoosiers received a verbal commitment from three-star wide receiver Jordyn Williams, a native of Albany, Georgia. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver becomes the sixth player to commit to IU in the 2021 class.
“After talking it over with my family, and coaches of my desired school, I am beyond blessed to say I am 100% committed to Indiana University,” Williams wrote on Twitter. “Go Hoosiers!!!”

Williams ranks as the No. 110 wide receiver in the 2021 class and is the No. 63 player out of Georgia, according to 247Sports. He’s the second receiver in the class to commit Indiana.
It’s a significant addition for the Hoosiers, as they had to fight off some major programs to land Williams. He held offers from Power Five programs like Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Louisville, Rutgers, Maryland, Mississippi State and others.
Now that Williams has committed, Indiana has seen a slight bump in the recruiting rankings. While the Hoosiers still sit 13th in the B1G, they’re now up to 51st nationally.
