Indiana loses pair of defenders to transfer portal, per report
It has been a tough year for Indiana football in 2021. The long list of injuries has plagued the Hoosiers all season long, and now they’ve lost a couple of players to the transfer portal.
According to a report from 247Sports, defensive lineman C.J. Person and edge rusher D.K. Bonhomme entered the portal on Tuesday. Both joined the team in 2019.
Indiana’s D.K. Bonhomme and C.J. Person have both entered the transfer portal.
Both were 2019 recruits.

Person was a 3-star recruit from Montgomery Catholic Preparatory High School in Montgomery, Alabama per the 247Sports Composite. In his career at Indiana, Person had 16 total tackles, 9 solo tackles, 7 assisted tackles, and 1 pass deflection.
Bonhomme was also a 3-star recruit out of Clearwater Academy International High School from St. Catherines, Ontario per the 247Sports Composite. He had 17 total tackles, 12 solo tackles, 5 assisted tackles, and 1 sack during his time in Bloomington.
We’ll see how the loss of these 2 defenders affects Indiana in the long run. The Hoosiers are 2-9 on the season, 0-8 in Big Ten play. They close out the year against Purdue on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
