Beery spent four seasons at Indiana, redshirting his first year in 2017. Because of the NCAA’s blanket waiver for fall athletes during the 2020 season, the offensive lineman will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Last season, Beery appeared in all eight games during IU’s 6-2 season. In 2019, he played in 11 of the Hoosiers’ 13 contests and made appearances in four games as a redshirt freshman in 2018.
When he arrived at Indiana, Beery started his career as a defensive lineman. He transitioned to the offensive line during his first year in Bloomington.
