Indiana provides update on suspended RB Morgan Ellison
Indiana running back Morgan Ellison has returned to practice but still remains suspended, according to head coach Tom Allen.
On Tuesday, Allen provided an update on Ellison, who has been suspended indefinitely throughout the entire season. According to Mike Miller of the Herald Times, last year’s leading rusher is back on the practice field.
The reason behind Ellison’s suspension is still unknown. Allen has said that the running back’s return is “out of his control” but that the two meet on a weekly basis.

Ellison was the leading rusher for the Hoosiers as a freshman in 2017, tallying 704 yards and six touchdowns. He was the team’s starting running back headed into the season.
The Hoosiers have had their issues with running backs this season. After Indiana’s season opening win against FIU, backup running back Cole Gest suffered a season-ending injury, thrusting freshman Stevie Scott into the starting role.
Scott has been spectacular through five games, rushing for 464 yards and four touchdowns. He’s also caught six passes for 30 yards and a score. Indiana is 4-1.
There was no update given on when Ellison’s suspension would be dropped.
Indiana travels to Columbus to play No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday.
