Indiana running back Tyler Natee has announced plans to transfer from the program.

On Wednesday afternoon, Natee released a statement on Twitter, saying he was thankful for his opportunity at Indiana but will be transferring. He said the decision is to help his “career and future.”

Natee didn’t see the field in 2017 and was mostly a member of the scout team this fall. That move was a bit strange considering the success he experienced as a freshman, rushing for 237 yards and two touchdowns on 61 carries.

He was an All-Freshman team honorable mention by BTN.com last season.

Natee is a former three-star recruit and was ranked as a top 200 prospect from Texas, according to 247Sports. In his announcement, Natee said his recruitment is now open.
