An Indiana receiver has transferred to Pitt.

Thursday afternoon, Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi tweeted out a message welcoming Taysir Mack to the program, along with a photo of the receiver. The news comes on the same day that IU’s top receiver Simmie Cobbs Jr. announced his decision to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft.

“We are thrilled to include Taysir Mack as another addition of our 2018 class,” Narduzzi wrote.

Mack caught 23 passes for the Hoosiers in his freshman season, totaling 310 yards and three touchdowns. Though he only caught passes in six games, he had two outstanding performances on the year.

In the Hoosiers’ non-conference finale against Charleston Southern, Mack had seven receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns. In the final game of the year against Purdue, he had seven catches for 132 yards and a score.

A 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver, Mack was a three-star prospect coming out of high school. He was ranked as a top 200 player at his position and was the seventh-best target out of New York.
