One B1G school has a new power 5 opponent for the back half of the decade. Indiana has scheduled a home and home with ACC opponent Virginia for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

Indiana and Virginia recently had a home and home in the 2017-2018 seasons. Indiana won both meetings; The Hoosiers won the first meeting in 2017 34-17 in Charlottesville, VA. In 2018 in Bloomington, IN., The Hoosiers won a tightly contested battle 20-16.

Indiana had one of the more disappointing years in the B1G as they started preseason ranked in the AP Top-25 poll. The Hoosiers finished 2-10 and winless in the B1G with an 0-9 record.

Virginia this season finished 6-6 on the season and 4-4 in ACC play. The Cavaliers are playing in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl on Dec. 29 at 11:00 am ET.

With the B1G Pac-12 ACC Alliance, it’ll be interesting to see if more home and homes are scheduled throughout the 3 conferences in the back half of this decade and beyond.
