Kane Wommack is taking another Hoosiers staffer with him to South Alabama.

According to Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports and The Athletic, Wommack will be hiring Seth McDonald and he’ll be coaching the outside linebackers as well as be a graduate assistant:

As the tweet also says, McDonald played for Wommack at Eastern Illinois. Wommack will also be hiring Matt Shadeed and he’ll be the director of strength and conditioning.

McDonald was also a graduate assistant at Indiana before taking this position with Wommack. While he played at Eastern Illinois, he was a team captain for his senior season and had 99 tackles. After that season, he was named as a First Team All Ohio Valley Conference linebacker. His junior season was even better though as he had 109 tackles and was named the OVC Defensive Player of the week twice.

He has a lot of experience at the position and we’ll see how that translated when he coaches the outside linebackers.
