Indiana starter out for remainder of 2022-23 season with torn ACL, per Tom Allen
Indiana football suffered a massive blow Monday, losing starting right tackle Matthew Bedford for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.
Hoosiers head coach Tom Allen confirmed Bedford tore his ACL Friday against Illinois at his weekly press conference.

Allen also said that senior West Texas A&M transfer Parker Hanna will replace Bedford on the offensive line this week against Idaho.
Tom Allen says Parker Hanna has the right tackle spot with Bedford out. Invokes Bedford stepping up to replace Coy Cronk in 2019, similar circumstances. #iufb

Bedford, a senior out of Cordova, Tennessee, was set for a strong fourth year in Bloomington. He has started in 27 of his 28 appearances for the Hoosiers all over the line, most recently at right tackle.
A unit that already had its share of concerns is now that much lighter.
