Injuries came far too often in Miami on Thursday and the Hoosiers may have suffered a significant loss on the first night of the season.

Junior tight end Jordan Fuchs was carted off the field in Indiana’s season-opening contest against FIU after an apparent leg injury:

After the contest, head coach Kevin Wilson announced that Fuchs dislocated his ankle. There is currently no confirmation on how long the tight end will be sidelined but it’s possible he misses the remainder of the season.

Fuchs had played in 19 games with the Hoosiers entering Thursday’s game. He’s caught seven passes for 69 yards and three touchdowns in his career.
