There’s a new name at the top of the Indiana record books.

During Thursday night’s Gator Bowl against Tennessee, Indiana tight end Peyton Hendershot set the record for most receptions and receiving yards for a tight end in a single season in program history. He totaled four catches for 24 yards in the first half.

Hendershot now has 50 receptions for 579 yards on the year, both of which are IU records. He’s the second-leading receiver on the team this year, behind only Whop Philyor.

Along with his record-setting numbers, Hendershot also has four touchdown grabs on the year.

Indiana finished the season with an 8-4 record to punch its ticket to the Gator Bowl. A win over Tennessee would give IU its first nine-win season since 1967.
