Nick Sheridan has earned a pretty strong compliment from 247Sports.

The 29-year-old quarterbacks coach for Indiana was listed as one of the top ’30Under30′ for 247Sports, which is running a series highlighting the top coaches under the age of 30.

Prior to coming to Indiana, Sheridan was an offensive graduate assistant at Tennessee. When offensive coordinator Mike DeBord left Knoxville for Bloomington, Sheridan followed him. Now, he’s one of the rising stars in college football.

“Nick Sheridan is a young offensive mind that I am very impressed with,” Tom Allen told 247Sports. “I love the fact that he is a coach’s son. He has been around this game his entire life.”

Sheridan’s father, Bill, is a longtime coach who has made stops at various FBS programs and has also spent time in the NFL.

While in college, Sheridan was a walk-on quarterback at Michigan. He played in 12 games during his career, throwing for 701 yards and two touchdowns while in Ann Arbor.

In addition to working at Tennessee and Indiana, Sheridan also spent time at Western Kentucky.
