Indiana's Tom Allen believes there's a wide gap between Ohio State and the B1G
Finding something negative to say about Ohio State has been really difficult for Indiana head coach Tom Allen. Over the last two days, all he could do is praise the Buckeyes.
Ahead of this weekend’s matchup between the Buckeyes and Indiana, Allen said that he believes this year’s Ohio State team is the best he’s seen since arriving in Bloomington in 2016. Considering the Buckeyes won the B1G one year and reached the CFB Playoff another, that’s a pretty strong compliment.
Allen’s respect for OSU poured over into Tuesday on the B1G coaches teleconference. As he was asked about the talent and depth on the Buckeyes’ roster, the Hoosiers head coach said Ohio State is head-and-shoulders above the league.
Allen said there’s a “pretty strong difference” between Ohio State and the rest of the B1G in the depth department.

Sounds like Allen understands the challenge facing his team this weekend.
Ohio State enters Saturday’s game 5-0 and coming off a thrilling 27-26 win over Penn State on the road. Indiana survived Rutgers last weekend, taking down the Scarlet Knights 24-17.
Indiana has played Ohio State tough each of the last two seasons but hasn’t been able to steal a victory. The last time the Hoosiers knocked off the Buckeyes was 1988.
Kickoff for Saturday’s Indiana-Ohio State game is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
