Indiana freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino played exceptionally well in both of the Hoosiers’ losses this past week. So well, in fact, that he was named the B1G Freshman of the Week.

Hood-Schifino scored 21 points in a close loss to Iowa and one-upped himself against Northwestern, scoring 33 points in a 1-point loss. He and Trayce Jackson-Davis practically carried Indiana at times and looked good doing so, despite the losses.

This past week was nothing new for Hood-Schifino. The star freshman had his choices out of high school, eventually picking the Hoosiers over Rick Barnes and Tennessee, which is currently a top 5 team. 21 points against Iowa was a career high before he shattered that mark against the Wildcats with 33. He totaled 12 assists across the 2 games as well.

Indiana looks to bounce back from a rough team week this Wednesday against Penn State.
