Indiana will have one additional player joining the team this summer in time for camp.

Wednesday, junior college defensive tackle Demarcus Elliott announced via Twitter that he would be committing to Indiana. He’s a late addition to the 2019 recruiting class for the Hoosiers, which ranked in the top 40 nationally.

Elliott made the announcement a week after making a visit to Bloomington.

“I am happy to say I am committing to Indiana University #GoHoosiers,” Elliott wrote on Twitter.

Elliott spent the last season at Garden City Community College, where he totaled 19 tackles and 4.5 sacks. He had three total offers out of junior college, including Indiana, Chattanooga and UMass.

At 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, Elliott brings good size to Indiana’s defensive line, which needed to add some depth. Elliott fills that void and could be a good rotational player for the Hoosiers in 2019 and beyond.
