Like father, like son? Indiana offers son of legendary Colts RB Edgerrin James
The son of one of the greatest Indianapolis Colts in franchise history could be playing for the Hoosiers by 2022.
Tom Allen and Indiana offered a scholarship to Eden James — the son of Hall of Fame running back Edgerrin James — on Friday. Here’s the announcement from Eden:

James, who also plays running back, does not currently have a rating from 247Sports Composite rankings. However, it’s still relatively early in the cycle and many players struggled to get evaluated in 2020 due to the pandemic.
He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds and attends Treasure Coast High School in Port Saint Lucie, Fla.
Despite going somewhat under the radar, James also has offers from Miami and Howard. James’ alma mater is Miami.
The eldest James rushed for 12,246 yards in his NFL career, including 9,226 with the Colts. He led the league in rushing twice and cleared the 1,000-yard barrier seven times. He’s the Colts’ all-time leading rusher by a wide margin — nearly 4,000 yards.
Edgerrin also acknowledged the offer from IU on Instagram:

“I can catch [an Indiana] game on Saturday and then catch a [Colts] game on Sunday. Might not be a bad deal.
Keep Working Kidd,” James wrote. “It’s Happening.”
The Early Signing Period is set for December.
